Personal Support Specialist

Support individuals in maintaining their independence and promoting their well-being.
Monitor and document any changes in the individual's physical or mental condition, and report to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Accompany individuals to medical appointments, recreational activities, and community outings.
Foster a safe and supportive environment for individuals, promoting their dignity and respect.
Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to enhance socialization and mental stimulation.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, family members, and other support staff, to ensure coordinated care.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (additional certification or education in a related field is a plus).
Prior experience working as a Personal Support Specialist or in a similar caregiving role.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of person-centered care principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathy and patience when working with individuals with diverse needs.
Ability to adapt to different environments and establish rapport with individuals quickly.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to providing quality care.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
