Title One Interventionist (Hourly, non-benefited position)

Title I Interventionist (Teacher)
Delivers small group instruction in the area of math or reading and provides small group pre-teach/re-teach.
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 29 hours per week.
Pay rate: $23.50 or $29.50/hour depending on level of certification
Must hold or be eligible for a Maryland Educator Certificate.
Previous teaching experience preferred
Must have good oral and written communication skills
Pleasant and professional manner
Ability to work with children of varying cognitive abilities
1. Responsible for the planning & preparation of a quality reading lesson for a Literacy group of
students (10-20 students).
2. Monitoring of student data both formally and informally and reporting of data via a data
warehouse platform.
3. Reporting Mid-trimester progress reports and Literacy grades on the QACPS Progress Report.
4. Participating in school and county based Professional Development as determined by the QACPS
PD calendar.
5. Provide one-on-one tutoring for eligible students, if the tutoring is schedule at time when a
student would not otherwise receive instruction from a teacher.
6. Will utilize a push in or pullout model for students, based on individual needs.
7. Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or
skills initially introduced by the teacher.
8. Guide independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work set up and assigned by the
9. Alerts the regular teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.
10. Assesses students on an ongoing basis, both formally and informally; will use school based
diagnostic assessments to attain student levels.
11. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned from
time to time by the Principal, Reading, Math and/or Teacher Specialist.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
